Lavina Rana is a UX/UI Designer, Visual Artist and Photographer based in Austin, TX. She has been freelancing in the creative industry since 2011. In 2018, she was working as a Marketing Graphic Designer and then promoted to Theater Operations Manager for the NGO, Austin Film Festival. 
Lavina was born in Singapore but raised in Adelaide, South Australia. She holds a BA in Visual Arts (Photography) from the University of South Australia. She quickly became passionate and curious in the relationship between image and text, which made her fall in love with graphic design. During her graduate program, she was selected among her peers to study at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts - The School of Design, in Copenhagen, Denmark for a semester. This experience has greatly influenced her work in terms of aesthetic and conceptual values. Lavina developed a habit of sketching out her ideas and documenting it as it allows her to open up avenues and possibilities of innovation. In 2018, she became a certified UX/UI Designer from the University of Texas at Austin
